Dr Chidebe Matthew Nwankwo is a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria with twelve years of legal practice experience. He holds an LL. B from Igbinedion University in Okada, Nigeria; an LLM in International Economic and Trade Law from Brunel University in London, UK; and has been a member of the Nigerian Bar since 2008. Furthermore, Dr Nwankwo also holds a PhD in international law from Brunel University. He is a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Law, University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus. His teaching responsibilities include Nigerian Land Law, Public International Law, African Union Law and Law of the United Nations at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. In 2019 Dr Nwankwo was one of the recipients of the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) grant for Early Career Academics. He has authored numerous articles in reputable journals and book chapters. His research interests include International Economic Law, African Union Law, International Environmental Law, and African Legal History.
